In 2011, she had an exhibition titled A Symbolic Decline in Bali, Indonesia, and has participated in several group shows in the United States, including theTransporter project with an art movement called The Center for Tactical Magic. Although originally from Malaysia, Avelire has lived in several cities across South-East Asia and the United States. A suspended, modern-day mandala, A Gnostic Cycle was constructed from a mix of steel, human hair, eggs, ladybirds, thorns and other miscellaneous materials. It is roughly 5 feet from its highest point to its lowest point and 5 feet in the diameter at the largest, bottom-most circle. A Symbolic Decline explored the human obsession with progression versus the primal urge for ritual and spirituality. Images from the exhibition are below.
